War on the Floor | 2014 Recap Return to Results

Lambert & Nabors Report posted June 8

The 2014 War on the Floor in Raleigh, NC did not let anyone down in talent and/or expectations. Hosted by the CIC Warriors, this 2 day event brought intensity and competition.

The High School Boys division was setting up for a great championship game all weekend. In the end, NC Hustle 10th was too much for U-Nique All Star 11th, winning the championship game 80-68. Triad Scorpions showed in every game that they were a team to be dealt with, however, the CIC Warriors (Faulkner) proved to be the team to beat by going undefeated and winning the final game 84-77.

New to the scene this year, are the Tri*Stars Basketball program. These young men and their fans brought it all weekend. Their 6th grade boys proved to be a tough match up for everyone has they went undefeated and defeated NC Hustle 77-69. And then there is their 5th grade boys that went undefeated until the championship game, where they fell to the NC Hustle 5th 45-27.

During the girls High School division, it seemed like the competition was going to be very tight from top to bottom. With teams like the Lady Supremes (MD) and the East Coast Lady Stars (NC) suprising everyone with their youth and talent, it was the best competition to watch. The semis were very exciting with the NC Flames over the CIC Warriors 11th and the East Coast Lady Stars defeating the CIC Warriors 9th. But the Flames continued their run by winning the championship over the Lady Stars 55-48.

A special THANK YOU to our host the CIC Warriors!!! See you in 2015!!!
